Northeast Florida Travelers - Chapter 166

As we are writing this, we are in South Carolina at our Fall Foliage Campout. The weather is cool and there is hope that the Fall colors will turn more brilliant as the week goes by.
We have a fantastic turnout! There are 48 rigs camping with us representing 12 states and 17 chapters. It looks like folks from all over the country enjoy coming to the Carolina mountains to take in nature’s spectacular colors. If you couldn’t make it this ear, we will be hosting the Fall Foliage Week again next year. Plan to join us in 2006.
November 10th, 11th & 12th, found us in Seffner, FL for the Florida State Fall Rally.
Our Christmas campout was held at Okefenokee RV Park, Folkston, Georgia on December 9th & 10th.
January 20th & 21st we will be camping in Gainesville, FL at Wild Frontier RV Park. As always, we welcome visitors to all our campouts! Hope to see YOU at one of them.

Happy Camping,
Paula Nighbert

Penn West - Chapter 23

Hi All….. We from Penn West would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. We hope that your last summers camping season was as good as ours was. We had many great campouts. We had a great turnout at the State and National Rally’s. Winning a couple of prizes also improves the campout.
At our last couple campouts we did things to raise money for the NCT KATRINA FUND. Our MOT Bob and his wife had a pig roast, raised, donated and cooked by Bob and Martha Lightner. Donations by individuals and the club for the pig roast. Alvin and Barb Dickson, with help stirring and peeling apples at the last campout made Apple Butter and the club donated the proceeds from the selling of it to the Katrina fund. Jim and Pat Jackson made breakfast in a bag and the donations from that were also added to the pot. I’m very proud to say that Penn West #23 itself raised over $360 dollars for the Katrina fund. We wish to thank everyone for there help and donations.

Arkansas Ramblin Razorbacks - Chapter 122

Nestled in the beautiful Ozark foothills on Grand Lake, far from the maddening crowds, you will find the hospitability of your Arkansas Masonic family. Cool evenings and crisp days filled with friendly voices, some familiar, some new and so much to see and do. Peer into the past on a Har-Ber Village tour; how about a lake tour, casino or tour the Pensacola Dam. All of this and more will be waiting you at the District #6 Rally to be held in Grove, Oklahoma, at the Cedar Oaks RV Park, April 25-27,2006.
There will be a live band on Wednesday and Thursday evening. That means dancing! Oh, how about a couple of really nice door prizes, one for a lady and one for a man. There will be a barbecue dinner with real baked beans, coleslaw and potato salad, all homemade. Tuesday evening we will be served authentic Chicago style Hot Dogs. I can hardly wait. RV sites are full 50 amp hookups, but space is limited so put this on your calendar and get your reservation in early for a beautiful rally at the perfect time of year.

Texas Bluebonnets - Chapter 215

The members of the Texas Bluebonnets would like to wish all the folks in our organization a very Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year. Our hopes are that 2006 will bring relief and closure to all who suffered from the effects of the hurricanes that struck our country this year!
Our September campout was held at the Flying W Ranch, owned by our member Jim Wyche. Ten rigs were in attendance; 6 from our chapter and 4 from the Tejas Travelers. As usual, our host outdid himself in making us all feel welcome by providing delicious food as well as fine accommodations. We were able to attend Lodge one evening as well as being able to visit with our poster child, Megan, an outpatient at the Scottish Rite hospital in Dallas, on another evening. We raised funds to help offset the cost of transporting her to the hospital.
The 8th annual Texas State Rally was held in Big Spring Texas the first week of October. Attendance was small, in part to the extremely high cost of fuel and also to the problems faced by our neighboring chapter members wrought by the recent hurricanes which devastated Texas and Louisiana as well as Mississippi and Georgia.
