Text Box: Hi Sisters and Brothers of NCT. I can’t believe that three months have already passed and it is again time to do another article for News to Campers. I would like to thank all the chapters that have been sending me their newsletters. I enjoy reading them and seeing what the chapters are doing and how many people are attending each campout. I haven’t received many ideas as to what we can do to increase membership. I would suggest that during the off camping season, you attend your lodge and talk to brothers who are campers. Be sure to have an application close at hand, with the correct fees and information available.
Text Box: The weekend of Oct 14-16, LaVon and I camped with the Straddlers in Bellevue, SNE. We had a very enjoyable time with lots of good food, and had some good discussions about things happening in NCT. It was their last campout of the season. We are hoping next year to get to visit many other clubs. I am leaving Oct 25 for the NCT board meeting in Cleveland, SC. I am looking forward to this meeting and hope Text Box: we can settle the issues to everyone’s satisfaction, so that they can be voted on in the March issue of News to Campers.
By the time you read this the holiday season will be in full swing. LaVon and I would like to wish you a Happy Holiday Season. We Will be looking forward to next years camping season. Please send me your ideas on how we can increase our membership so that I can share them with other campers.
Fraternally,

Text Box: joy to others.
It is my hope that we continue to practice forgiveness. In a time when there is so much to forgive, we must remember that in our lives there have been occasions when we needed to be forgiven. And we must never forget the happiness that giving and receiving forgiveness can bring.
Remember to stop and thank God for the many blessings that he has given us. May we never forget that he has a plan, and despite the signs, he remains in control.
And may we never settle for injustice. While there may be little we can control in this world, we can make a difference in our corner of the world. Look for ways to Text Box: help others and be open and generous. You never know how you might affect someone’s life. Look for ways to wage war against the injustices around you.
Happiness comes from within. So possess your enthusiasm for life! Practice forgiveness, towards yourself and others! Express your gratitude to the Lord and to those around you! And never settle for wrong doings! And I think you will find peace and contentment, and in turn pass that joy on to others.

Happy Holiday Season,
Roger and Sally
Text Box: Greetings of the Season

As we enter the holiday season, I understand how particularly difficult this time of year can be. The difficulty of this season is only compounded by the instability of the world around us. It seems whenever we turn on the radio or television, or read a newspaper, we are faced with even more awful things. Things that we could never in our worst nightmares imagined seem to be happening.
I hope that as we go through this holiday season, especially in these troubling times, that we remember to keep our zest for life. To remember the good times we have had and to cling to those we love who are still in our lives. To find the joy in the simple things, and to give back that Text Box: See you in Rayne
