Text Box: Well, it has finally started to cool off a little in Florida. It is so hard to believe that the holiday season is now upon us.
There has been a lot happen since July when I became the National President. We have been faced with members living in areas that Mother Nature has caused a lot of problems. We have had members pass on to the great campground in the Heavens. We held a Special Board meeting in South Carolina in October. So you can see it has been busy.
I want to thank every member and Chapter that gave to the Hurricane fund we set up at the National Office. I know that no pictures or movies can truly show the damage that has been caused by the Hurricanes. I have worked in these type of areas and you just cannot believe what these members are facing until you see it for your self.
At the Special Board meeting, held on October 26, 2005, we went over several By-Law change proposals. Several of these proposals will be in the March Issue of News to Campers for you the vote on. PLEASE VOTE SO ALL PARTS OF N.C.T. CAN BE HEARD. I want to thank all the National Board members that came to South Carolina to be part of this meeting. This to me not only shows the support the Board members have for me but mainly their concerns for the continuing of N.C.T.. One change you will be voting on that I think is a Text Box: Great Idea is that the National Rally name be changed to “NATIONAL CAMPING TRAVELERS NORTH AMERICAN RALLY”. This includes our Brother and Sisters in Canada and Mexico more then calling our rally the National Rally. There is at least one other By-Law change proposal that was not heard at the Special Board meeting, which was not found until the meeting was ended. This proposal will be heard at the next Board meeting in Rayne, Louisiana.
There has also been a rumor going around that the National Rally for 2006 has been moved from Louisiana, well this is not true. The Rally is still going to be held in Rayne, Louisiana and the campground is fine and has not had any damage. Rayne is fall enough away from the Gulf that they had no damage. I have been in contact with the city of Rayne several times and every thing is fine and the whole city is waiting for N.C.T. to arrive with our National Rally. Plans for our rally are still under way and Rally Chairman Dan Williams is hard at work planning a great rally for one and all.

May God Bless one and all.

Rodger (Sr.) & Sandy King.

Text Box: much disarray but the “out-house” is still standing! At the beginning of our trip home the price of fuel went into some ones back pocket. It sure wasn’t mine. Total trip 8,098 miles. Seems like a lot but it’s one of the enjoyable benefits of going to a National Rally.
This year I submitted a national membership plan to the new board of directors meeting. It was approved and everyone will be involved in some way. Details will be forthcoming from your District Director soon. This plan is set to be put into action in 2007/2008 and if everyone helps we can’t loose.
The last couple of years I’ve noticed that only about 3 or 4 chapters submitted an application for “Chapter of the Year Award”. I Text Box: Hi Everyone,
Maggie and I want to wish you all a warm, safe and happy holiday. Many things have happened after the National Rally in Vermont. On a personal note we drove to Freeport Maine and spent several days trying to eat all the lobster they could catch. We started our return home via Canada and went to Sand Springs, Montana where I have upm-teen cousins I’d never met. The Cattle ranch is located 18 miles northeast of the paved hi-way on a dirt road. I was able to visit the log cabin that my mother and I lived in for a while in the late 30’s. It’s in Text Box: guess the rest of you aren’t up to standard? Come on Secretaries and MOT’s lets have some competition. The few chapters that do put in for the award would like to share it. I guess you can tell that I’m trying to entice you into submitting your application for Chapter of the Year. Go to page 38 of the operations Manual. Here you will find a format to follow for Chapter of the Year. What do you think District Director’s, are there any
Chapters in your area that can qualify?

Until we meet again,

Text Box: Walt Hickman and his group put together a great Rally. The weather was great along with food, games and entertainment. The 5th District Director Richard Dillon and his wife Carolyn were in attendance. States represented were New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
By this time the special meeting on the by-laws is past. I hope all went well for President Rodger at the meeting. This has turned into a mess with the proposed changes. Remember nothing gets approved unless the membership votes on Text Box: it. The board can only accept or reject the proposal changes, then have the membership vote on them.
On the brighter side, talking with Rodger King, everything is a go for the 2006 NCT National in Rayne, LA.
We are working on the 2007 Rally in York, PA.
Joan and I would like to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Text Box: Hello NCT’ers. Well it is that time of the year when our camping season comes to and end up North. We were out for the week-end with our club, and it is cold.
Since my last message Joan and I attended the West Virginia State Rally in September. What a great week-end with the Pioneers. The Rally went very smooth under the direction of Carol Parks the Rally Chairperson. There were games, great food and entertainment for the week-end and yes no hurricane this year. This was their 2nd State Rally and yes they are going to do it again next year. Mark this date on your calendars September 8, 9, & 10. The Pioneers are really a great group of people and support NCT to the fullest.
Next we attended the New Jersey State 5th District Rally held at Buena Vista Campground. Text Box: Our National President—Rodger King
