Text Box: Our weather has began to cool down especially at night, and what a pleasure it is to get up in the morning to the coolness.
We’re hoping the hurricanes have gone for this year. We had just arrived home on Monday, from the NCT National in Vermont and the fuel prices went up on Tuesday in our area so we give the credit to our Lord for his guidance in our lives to arrive home before the higher prices did.
We certainly do need to remember all the people in the South Louisiana area and also please do not forget our very own NCT members who are caught up in that mess down there. Please don’t forget to pray for them each time you approach the Throne of God and seek His help for all these poor people.
We did not return directly home as we have a niece and nephew and their children who line in Ypsilanti, Michigan, also a couple who we were in the Army with in 1960 in Texas and in Georgia who now live in Michigan, we spent some time with them. It is always great to see ole friends and make new ones. I hope each of you when meeting other Masons who camp will encourage them to join the greatest camping club, NCT, even encourage them to attend a meeting or campout to see what it is all about and they surely will have a desire to join.
I hope and trust everyone will have enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving, and all of us took the time to thank our Lord and Savior Jesus for the good food and fellowship with our fellow man.
This is one of our favorite times of the year and we have begun to think about the celebration of Christmas and the birth of our Savior Jesus. We need to always thank our Lord and Savior Jesus for coming to this earth to save each of us unto everlasting fellowship with Him in Glory, without Him all would be lost forever.
Margie and I have just celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary and what a great time we have had over the past 50 years together, raising our family and enjoying each of our children and watching our grandchildren grow. I thank my Lord each day for a wonderful wife, and best friend he has given me in my wife.
Our Lord is always so very good and we can never serve Him enough. We can never praise Him enough or tell others about His love for mankind enough.
God Bless you and yours. In His service.

Text Box: A Christmas Prayer
Text Box: From Gooseberry Hill——–
I didn’t ask for riches, but for gifts so much more dear.
I asked for joyful gatherings with your family all around.
And for carols to inspire you with old familiar sounds.
I asked for quiet moments in your heart Christmas morn.
For a special time to celebrate the Savior who was born.
I asked for friends to send their best that you might know they truly care…
I asked for Peace and Love and Hope
And I know God you heard my prayer.

With warmest Blessings to you and yours as we celebrate the wondrous birthday of our Christ……. Submitted by Shirley Thompson
